Use the following section to create an Instagram account if you do not currently have one. If you do, skip to the next section.
Creating an Instagram Account
Starting an account is quick and easy.
Setting up an Instagram Business Account gives people more information about your service and your business.
Step 1: Download and launch the app
Step 2: Let Instagram know who you are
Tap Sign Up, then enter your email address and tap Next, or tap Log in with Facebook to sign up with your Facebook account.
Creating an Instagram Business Profile
Step 1: Switch to Business Profile
Always make sure you have the newest update to the Instagram app before you try and make changes.
Next, go to Instagram and click on your profile photo. Once on your profile, click the hamburger icon in the top right (three horizontal stacked lines), the click the gear icon (settings) at the bottom, click account, then scroll do to Get More Tools, then select Business.
Side Note: Instagram Creator is not available to everyone. Also, the Instagram API does not allow Creator accounts to work with third parties at this time. Thus, we only recommend a Business Profile.
Step 2: Setting up your Business Profile
Once clicking Next, Instagram will walk you through setting up your Business Profile.
First you will connect your Instagram Business Profile and Facebook Page.
Second, you will confirm or change your contact information, which includes your phone number, email, and/or location.
You will then be redirected back to your Instagram profile, which is now a Business profile.
Step 3: Editing your new Business Profile
You can edit any information on your profile like your website, bio, contact options and more by click Edit Profile.
Exploring your Business Profile
Insights allow you to dive deeper on Activity, Content, and Audience. This is where you go to see which posts are resonating with more people, where you audience is located, what days and times they are using Instagram, and more!
Your activity shows you how much time you are averaging on Instagram. You can also Set Daily Reminder to manage your usage time and mange your Notifications.
Allows you to create a Nametag and Scan a Nametag to instantly connect with another Instagram user.
Like a photo or video and want to create that yourself? Don’t screen shot it, Save it. You can do so by clicking the Flag icon in the bottom right of any post, and then save to a collection.
Want to share Stories only to family and friends? You can add your Close Friends onto a list to do just that.
A great way to grow your audience on Instagram is to connect and engage with other users. You can Discover People to connect and also view Contacts on your phone that have an Instagram account to follow.
